about me/ contact

I, Antonia McCoy, will be your child’s homeroom teacher here in the German classroom 80% of the day. I was born and raised in Germany and started learning English in 5th Grade. I got my Bachelor’s Degree in Education (History and English) from Johannes Gutenberg-University in Germany in 2014. I moved to the US the same year and have taught Kindergarten and 1st Grade in the first year at ICSA. The second year, I taught Kindergarten German as well as 4th/5th Grade German. The past two school years I taught 1st Grade German and enjoyed it so much that I will be doing it again this year 🙂 I am so excited to welcome your children into my classroom and start working with them! Since they will spend the majority of their days in the German-speaking environment, you will see their language develop quickly! My birthday is on Christmas Day (December 25th) and I am a lefty! I have one child, baby boy Jonah 🙂

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns you might have throughout the year!

I am a big fan of our school-wide agenda system. I will communicate all important information (general and child-specific) in your child’s agenda daily so make sure you purchase one and check it daily!
