Reminder: Uniform Update
ICSAtlanta will be changing our uniform requirements, officially beginning in the 2021-2022 school year. In order to provide an adequate phase-out period, we wanted to announce this change as soon as possible. Beginning in the 2021-2022 school year, khaki pants, shorts, and scooters will no longer be allowed as part of ICSAtlanta’s school uniform. The only color option for pants, shorts, and jumpers will be navy. The only color options for scooters will be navy and ICSAtlanta plaid. Please note: this does not begin next school year (2020-2021); it begins the following year (2021-2022).
This week in class, we started our PYP unit 5. This unit is all about economics. We are learning about needs and wants. We are also talking about producers and consumers as well as goods and services. We are talking about different occupations and are seeing which provide goods and which provide services. In Math, we will learn about coins and focus mainly on the place value aspect of coins by trading ten pennies for a dime and two nickels for a dime etc.
We talked about the letter B,b in German Language Arts this week. The vocabulary words for this week are: das Brot (bread), der Bauarbeiter (construction worker), braun (brown), die Biene (bee), der Baum (tree), das Baumhaus (tree house), der Bauch (stomach), der Brunnen (well), die Banane (banana), die Butter (butter), der Bär (bear).
